O’NEILL’S CROTTA U-14 COUNTY LEAGUE REPORTS
Crotta’s U14’s began the defence of their County League D1 title on Saturday 21st March travelling to play Ballyduff.
Considering the condition of the pitch was questionable the two teams served up an exciting game with the home side finally crossing the finishing line with a two point win.

The second round of the county league D1 on Saturday 4th of April was another away game (due to Dromakee been unplayable) to Kilmoyley on a lovely spring evening. Both teams again gave a great display of hurling with a number of spectators commenting that it was one of the best games seen in a while at underage level. The final score line reflects this: Kilmoyley 4.11 Crotta 3.10, remarkably all Crotta’s scores coming from play.

The third and final round of the county league before a break for the Feile was a home game vs. Ballyheigue on Sunday morning 19th April. Played in glorious sunshine, at the sportsfield, Dromakee.
Crotta who were leading by a goal at half time (2-05 to 1-05) and eventually ran out winners on a score line of Crotta 7.8 to Ballyheigue’s 1.10 with a superb second half display.

This weekend, Saturday 25th the squad travel to Kilgarvan to compete in the A division of this year’s Feile. Their group consists of three teams with the first game against local rivals and 2014 Feile champions Abbeydorney, throw in is at noon with their final game against hosts Kenmare/Kilgarvan at 1pm. The top two teams qualify for the semi-finals to be played on Saturday the 2nd May, Final Bank holiday Monday 4th May. Best of luck to both players and mentors.
FÉILE FOR AUSTIN STACKS
Congratulations and well done to Crotta Hurler, Daniel O’Rourke and his Austin Stack’s Under 14 team mates who won the Kerry Féile Shield on Saturday 18th April a victory over St Pats in Blennerville in the Final. And booked their place in the National Football Finals at the Sunny South-East (Carlow/Wicklow/Wexford) in June.
CROTTA U-12S
County U-12 Hurling League Div2, Round 3, played in the Sports field, Dromakee, on Friday evening 17th April, Crotta 3-06 to Kenmare 0-04. The home side led by 2-04 to 0-01 at half time. Well done lads. Crotta are away to Dr. Crokes this Friday evening.
UNDER 16
North Kerry U-16 Hurling league played on Sunday 30th March at Caherslee, Tralee. Crotta 2-16 to Tralee Parnells 6-01. Crotta are away to Kenmare/Kilgarvan on Thursday 2nd April. Players meeting in Kilflynn at 5.15p.m
