KILFLYNN NATIONAL SCHOOL HURLING
Best of Luck to St.Teresa’s National School hurling squad and their mentors who play in the Cumann na mBunscoil Division 1 Final at Austin Stack’s Park against Lixnaw on Thursday 7th June at 6.45 p.m. C,mon Kilflynn.

ABBEYDORNEY/KILFLYNN COMMUNITY GAMES
Congratulations to Jeaic McKenna, Kilflynn who won a pewter medal at the National finals in Athlone on the last weekend in May. Jeaic was a member of the u14 relay team who attained 4th place in a very competitive race.
Congratulations also to Daniel and Sean Murphy who represented the area at the county judo finals and won a gold medal and a certificate respectively. Daniel will now represent the county at the Munster finals in July.
Training; training will continue for all athletes on Wednesday and Friday evenings from 5.30pm to 6.15pm. County athletic finals take place in An Riocht on Sat. and Sun. 23rd and 24th June.

UNDER 8s HURLING BLITZ
The Crotta hurling club will participate in the under 8 hurling blitz, this Thursday 31st May and Thursday 7th June at the sports field, Ardfert at 6.30p.m. All North Kerry hurling clubs will be present. Maurice Leahy will co ordinate the games, Training for Crotta U-06,U-08 and U-10 will take place on Wednesday evening 30th May at 7.00 p.m. at the sports field, Dromakee, Kilflynn.

SCRAP METAL
Due to the fantastic response to the Crotta fundraising “Free Scrap Metal Collection” has been decided to extend it further. You can now avail of this free service. Help clean up your environment, and at no cost to you. What we want: All types of metal i.e. cars, farm machinery, lead acid car/tractor/motorbike batteries etc, galvanise sheeting, gates, barrows, barrels, buckets, cattle troughs, old tanks, scrap electric cables, copper, lead, aluminium, stainless steel, bikes, motorbikes, old trailers, water pumps, electric motors, wheels, solid fuel stoves, cast iron bath’s etc, even the kitchen sink! It is as simple as this. “If it’s metal and you don’t want it, we want it” . JUNIOR HURLERS
The Crotta Hurlers advance to North Kerry Hurling Intermediate Championship semi final with 3-10 to 2-08 victory over Abbeydorney on Friday evening 1st June in Abbeydorney, the sides were level at the break 1-7 a piece. Sean Twomey was Crotta’s top scorer with 2-07 and a point each from Paul Lenihan, Paul Culhane and Peter McGrath, Brendan Culhane scored a peach of a goal. Crotta Team: Eoin Lynch, John P Quilter, Diarmuid McKenna, Ray O’Connell, Tom Quille, Pa Quille Paul Leinhan, JP McElligott, Mike Ryan, Martin Keane, Paul Cullhane, Pete McGrath, Brendan Cullhane, Francis Keane and Sean Twomey. SENIOR HURLERS
The Crotta Senior hurlers had mixed fortunes last week, at the sports field, Dromakee on Thursday 31st May the home side were defeated by Kilmoyley by 1-15 to 2-07 in the County Senior hurling League Division 1. Crotta led by 1-06 to 0-06 at half time. Crotta team and scorers: Eoin Lynch Tom McElligott, Philip Twomey, Diarmuid McKenna, Darren Twomey, Mike Lynch, Pa Quille, Cyril Lynch (0-01), Jack Twomey, Matt Lynch (0-01), Paul Culhane, Ian McCarthy, J.P McElligott (1-01), Shane Nolan (1-04) and Francis Keane. Subs: Sean Weir for P.Culhane and Paul Costello for J.P McElligott. Referee John Hennessey.
On Sunday 3rd June, in Abbeydorney, Crotta Captured their first points in this year’s County Senior hurling League with 1-14 to 1-11 victory over Abbeydorney , despite being down 1-08 to 0-03 at half time. Crotta Panel and scorers: Eoin Lynch, Diarmuid McKenna, Pa Quille, Sean Weir, Tom McElligott, Mike Lynch, Thomas Quille, Cyril Lynch (0-01), Jack Twomey Ian McCarthy (0-01), Shane Nolan 0-09, Paul Costello, Matt Lynch (0-03), Paul Cullhane and J.P McElligott. Sub Mike Ryan (1-00) for J.P Mc Elligott. Referee: Diarmuid Carroll, Ballyduff.

CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS
The four numbers picked out of the drum by Independent Observer, Jackie Twomey, Stanmore, Middlesex, England for the weekly Crotta Hurling Club Lotto draw were: 2,3,6 and 28 at Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn , on Monday 4th June, with a Jackpot of 7,200. However no one came up with the correct combination of numbers and the Jackpot survived for another week. The Lucky dip prizes winner each receives €35: Ciss Honan, Irrabeg, Lixnaw, Noel O’Sullivan, Lixnaw and Sarah Morris, Castletown, Kilflynn. The next draw will take place in Parker‘s Pub, Kilflynn on Monday night 11th June with a Jackpot of 7,300.
