CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS

The four numbers picked out of the drum by Independent Observer, Kevin Galvin, Ballyrehan, Lixnaw for the weekly Crotta Hurling Club Lotto draw were: 12,15,16 and 22 at Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn , on Monday 11th June, with a Jackpot of 7,300. However no one came up with the correct combination of numbers and the Jackpot survived for another week. The Lucky dip prizes winner each receives €35: Matt Dillon, C/o Agri Auto Parts, Listowel, John Joe O’Sullivan, Castletown, Kilflynn and Brendan Hannon, Laccamore, Kilflynn. The next draw will take place in Parker‘s Pub, Kilflynn on Monday night 18th June with a Jackpot of 7,400. COUNTY SENIOR LEAGUE DIV 1
Crotta and Ballyduff crossed swords for the first time since last years county final at a sun drenched Dromakee on a perfect pitch for hurling, on Saturday evening 9th June. Ballyduff started the better and rattled off 1-4 before an under strength Crotta scored a point by Sean Weir. A long range free was flicked to the net by Shane Nolan who then followed up with a point from play. Crotta started to get to grips with the Ballyduff forwards and both teams were playing good attacking hurling. Dispite Crotta’s poor start they when in at half time only 3 points down, Ballyduff 2-8 Crotta 2-5, Crotta second goal scored by loyal stalwart, Brendan Culhane. 
Crotta started the second half much better and were level after 5 mins with points from Matt & Cyril Lynch. They took the the lead for the first time when Sean Weir cut through the Ballyduff defence the put the sloither in the net making the score 2-8 to 3-8 to Crotta. The home team had their tails up this stage and rattled off great points from Ian McCarthy and JP McElligott ,and when Shane Nolan finished to the net for his second goal Crotta had secured a good win.

KILFLYNN NATIONAL SCHOOL HURLING
Best of Luck to St.Teresa’s National School hurling squad and their mentors who play in the Cumann na mBunscoil Division 1 Final at Austin Stack’s Park against Lixnaw Boys National School on Thursday 21st June at 6.00 p.m. C’mon Kilflynn. The final was postponed last Thursday evening due to the weather conditions.

JUNIOR HURLERS
The Crotta Hurlers advance to North Kerry Hurling Intermediate Championship semi final with 1-13 to 0-08 victory over Ballyheigue on Friday evening 8th June in Ballyheigue. Crotta led by 0-10 to 0-02 at half time. Crotta Team: Eoin Lynch, Paul Leinhan, Diarmuid McKenna, Raymond O’Connell, Tom Quille, Pa Quille, Paul Costello, Jack Twomey (0-02), JP McElligott, Francis Keane, Paul Cullhane, Pete McGrath (1-01), Martin Keane, Aaron Sheehan, and Sean Twomey (0-09) . Subs: John Mahoney Brendan Cullhane and Thomas Stack.

CROTTA UNDER 12 HURLERS
The Crotta u-12 hurlers had mixed fortunes last Friday evening 8th June, at the sports field in dromakee, the home side were defeated by Lixnaw 3-04 to 2- 03, while at Ballyduff, the other Crotta team had a 6-03 to 1-05 over Ballyduff.

CROTTA KELLOGS CUL CAMP 2012
The GAA Cúl Camps will run again at Crotta Hurling club this coming summer from 
Monday July 30th to Fri Aug 3rd and we are encouraging all juveniles aged between 6 and 14 years of age to sign up to the Cúl Camps. After very successful football camps over the past three years, we are hoping that as many youngsters as possible will attend again this year. You can register on line at www.gaa.ie/kellogsculcamps or you can complete an application form and send it with the appropriate fee to County Co-ordinator, Maurice Leahy at Austin Stacks Park, Tralee.  066 7127782 . Cost for first child is €55. It is €45 for second child of same family and €40 for third child of the same family.

North Kerry Under 10 Hurling Blitz will be held in Abbeydorney on Saturday 23rd June at 10.30 a.m.
