CUMANN NA MBUNSCOIL
St. Teresa’s National School, Kilflynn football team had a busy week in The County Cumann na mBunscoil competition, on Tuesday 6th November, Kilflynn NS played Annascaul in the quarter final in Caherslee. Trailing by two points at half time 1-06 to 1-04 after playing against the breeze, Kilflynn really finished stronger in the final quarter. Full time score was Kilflynn 3-11 to Annascaul 1-07. Scorers: Daniel O’Rourke (1-05), Darragh O’Donoghue (0-05), Sean Murnane (1-00), Jack Kevin McKenna (1-00) and Darragh Murnane (0-01). Referee Paul Hayes. On Thursday, 8th November after a win against Annascaul on Tuesday. Kilflynn NS played Lisselton in the Semi Final on Thursday 8th November in Ballyduff. It was a nail biting game with both sides fighting for victory. There was tight contest between the teams which led to a draw. The teams played a gruelling 7 minutes a side of extra time and again the teams keenly contested a win resulting in another draw. An impressive score of 3-08 reflected the skills displayed by both teams. Final Score: Kilflynn 3-08 to Lisselton 3-08. FASHION SHOW
St Teresa’s National School, Kilflynn, Co. Kerry, will host a Fashion Show Fundraiser in the Meadowlands Hotel, Tralee, on Friday 23rd of November. Produced by Upfront Model Management, doors open at 7.30pm and the night will feature a pre drinks reception, top A/W style from leading local boutiques, milliners and designers, a best dressed lady competition sponsored by Jasmine Boutique, Tralee, amazing spot prizes and more. All funds raised on the night will go towards developing an Astra Turf Pitch for the school.

TRAD SESSION
There will be a Traditional Music Session in Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn on Saturday night 17th November at 9.30 p.m. Some well known North Kerry Musicians will attend and All Musicians are welcome.

St Teresa’s National School, Kilflynn would be very grateful if you could help them by collecting the Mighty Mikey tokens from Lee Strand Milk. They can be given to any parent or dropped into the school, This promotion is running from now until December. All help is greatly appreciated.

THATCHED HOUSE FINUGE
Rambling House on Friday night 16th November in the Thatched House Finuge at 9.00 p.m. Musicians Singers & Story Telling are all welcome. Light refreshment served.

BAG PACKING
The Crotta Coiste Bord Na Nog Hurling club had a very successful bag packing day on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th of October in Dunnes Stores, North Circular Road, Tralee. Thank you to all the bag packers, everyone that organised the day and of course a special thank you to everyone that contributed which is especially generous in these recessionary times. The monies raised was €1,515 goes towards the running costs of Crotta Coiste Bord Na Nog throughout the year.

TABLE QUIZ
A Table quiz will be held in the Imperial Hotel (Tralee) on Friday 16th of November. This is in aid of the Irish Cancer Society and the Irish Red Cross Youths. It will start at 8:30pm. SYMPATHY
The death has occurred of Dolores Brosnan, (née Murphy), Fahavane, Kilflynn, on Friday, 2nd November, Unexpectedly. Her remains were removed for The Gleasure Funeral Home, on Sunday and burial took place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kilflynn on Monday after 12 noon mass celebrated by Fr. Denis O’Mahony Abbeydorney P.P. The very large crowds that attended the removal and the funeral mass show the high esteem in which Dorlores was held by the people of the area and beyond. 
On behalf of the Community we offer our sincere sympathies to Her husband, James, to her daughter, Karen, to her sons Gregory, Austin, Raymond, Desmond and Colum, grandson Cathal, brother Pat, niece Catherine, brother-in-law Denis, sisters-in-law Angela and Vera, son-in-law John, relatives, neighbours and 
large circle of friends. May she rest in peace.

FINUGE ABU
Congratulations and Well done to the Finuge panel, who booked their place in the Munster Club Intermediate Championship final, when they had a 2-09 to 1-09 victory over Pallasgreen (Limerick) on Sunday 11th November. Crotta Senior Captain Mike Lynch came on in the second half. Up next its St. Vincent’s (Cork) on Sunday 25th November in AIB Munster GAA Football Intermediate Club Championship Final in Mallow @ 2:00pm- so best of luck to Finuge and hope ye go all the way.

The Kilflynn drama group are holding a meeting on Friday 16th November in Parker’s Lounge Bar, Kilflynn, at 8.00 p.m. New members wanted, All welcome.

BALLYDUFF HURLERS
Congrats to Ballyduff Senior Hurlers who defeated Ballbrown (Limerick) by 2-13 to 0-14 in The AIB Munster GAA Hurling Intermediate Club Championship Semi-Final on Saturday in Kilmallock. after extra time. Well Done lads. Ballyduff play on Saturday 24th November in The A.I.B Munster Hurling Intermediate Club Championship Final against Silvermines (Tipperary) in Semple Stadium Thurles at 2:00pm. Best of luck.

AWARDS NIGHT
The North Kerry Hurling Board Awards Night will be held on Friday, 30th November in Ballyroe Heights Hotel.

COUNTY U-14 FINAL
THE Curtain came down on Crotta’s involvement at all under age grades of 2012 hurling at the weekend, 
The Crotta and Ardfert hurlers contested the County U-14 League final, on Sunday 11th November, in Abbeydorney with Ardfert winning on a score of 4-11 to 0-07.

The four numbers picked out of the drum by Independent Observer, Geraldine Riordan, Tralee for the weekly Crotta Hurling Club Lotto draw were: 2,14,20 and 21 at Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn on Monday night, 12th November with a Jackpot of 2,600. However no one came up with the correct combination of numbers and the Jackpot survived for another week.
